Principal's Message

Greetings & Welcome to Philadelphia HIgh School

As I begin my second year as Principal, I return with even more enthusiasm, creativity, and a deep commitment to unity. It is an honor to continue serving the students, families, and staff of this remarkable community.

Our continued theme—"Together We Learn. Together We Grow. Together We Succeed. Together Everyone Achieves More."—reflects our belief that collective effort and shared purpose lead to extraordinary outcomes. At Philadelphia High School, we understand that success is not achieved alone. It takes all of us—educators, students, parents, and community members—working in harmony to truly make a difference.

We are also embracing a powerful mindset: "Teaching is My Superpower." This year, our teachers will channel their inner superheroes, each choosing a symbol of strength, perseverance, and passion to represent their journey. This initiative will serve as a reminder of the incredible impact educators have every single day.

With high expectations and a heart for service, I look forward to continuing the work we’ve begun—nurturing academic excellence, supporting student growth, and building a culture where everyone belongs.

Here's to a year of PURPOSE, PROGRESS, and POSSIBILITY.

Dr. Sherell Griffin-Drake
